Call for Papers for the second International Comfort Congress in Delft, August 29th and 30th, 2019


Topic
Comfort Congress will offer you an opportunity to share studies, theories, methods and technologies for vehicle and aircraft seats, transport systems interiors, bed comfort, comfort models, and more. The idea is to exchange the latest knowledge, and to disseminate our work through a special issue of WORK - Journal of Prevention, Assessment & Rehabilitation, based on the congress proceedings of the congress.


Venue

The venue will be the Technical University of Delft (The Netherlands), close to Amsterdam, Rotterdam and The Hague. By registering for we will keep you updated with the congress developments. We will endeavour to make it a wonderful meeting regarding content, networking, and regarding your comfort of course.

 

Paper Submissions
Papers should describe the attributes of products (interiors, seats, beds etc.), methods of studying comfort, comfort models, new technologies contributing to comfort, interesting ongoing work on product comfort, new discoveries, insights or summaries of significant projects. Authors are invited to submit a 1-page outline abstract by 15th February 2019 using the template here. Submissions should describe previously unpublished content. The one page outline abstracts should be submitted via email to submission.icc2019@gmail.com . All abstracts will be reviewed and a decision taken on acceptance for the Congress. Authors will be required to write final papers for including in the proceedings and presentation at the Congress. Final papers should be 4 to 8 pages in length and will be made available electronically to all Congress delegates. These should be submitted electronically via the web portal which will be active after notifications of acceptance have been sent. The manuscript must be formatted according to the template on the website and submitted by the 1st of June 2019.

Journal Special Issue
A selection of the best papers in the Congress Proceedings will be chosen by the Technical Committee. The authors will be invited to expand and elaborate on their work for submission to a special issue of WORK - Journal of Prevention, Assessment & Rehabilitation, where papers will be reviewed as per normal journal submission procedures.

 

Registration
At least one author of each accepted paper must register for the congress prior to the final paper deadline. We look forward to them attending the congress and presenting the work as scheduled in the program.
